Novels of Love and Nature Part Fifteen Ragden and Sarah

Ragden, Aria, Emily and Sarah keep exploring their boundaries as slow, tender lovemaking leaves Sarah breathless in this sensual novel chapter.

The morning mist still clung to the pines when Elena carried her notebook down to the lake. For fifteen chapters she had been writing the same love story, and somewhere along the way the novel had started writing her back. Marcus found her on the old wooden dock, barefoot, pen resting against her lips, watching the sunlight break across the water. He sat beside her without a word and handed her a cup of coffee, and she leaned into his shoulder the way a woman does when she has finally stopped pretending she wants to be alone.

"Read me the last page," he said softly. She hesitated, then read aloud a scene of two lovers in a summer meadow, their hands slow and certain, the grass warm beneath them. Her voice faltered on the final line, because she knew he understood exactly who those lovers were. Marcus set his cup down and traced the curve of her jaw, his touch patient, almost reverent, and the notebook slid forgotten onto the planks between them.

They walked back through the tall grass toward the cabin, the wildflowers brushing their legs, birdsong rising around them like an audience that politely looked away. Inside, the windows were thrown open and the breeze carried the scent of cedar and lake water. He undressed her slowly, as if turning the pages of a book he never wanted to finish, and she pulled him down onto the quilt with a laugh that turned into a sigh. Every kiss felt like a sentence she had been searching for all season.

Afterward they lay tangled in the afternoon light, her head on his chest, his fingers drawing lazy circles along her spine. Outside, the wind moved through the trees in long, unhurried waves. Elena realized the ending she had struggled over for weeks was not an ending at all. Some love stories, like the seasons by the lake, simply keep returning, richer and warmer each time.

She reached for her pen once more and smiled. Chapter sixteen was already waiting.
