Laura had told her friend Jacki everything over the past few months, every whispered detail of the nights she spent with Marcus. Jacki, a confident woman of thirty two with auburn hair and a teasing smile, had listened with growing curiosity until one evening she finally admitted what she wanted. She asked Laura if she could meet him. Laura only laughed softly and reached for her phone.

Marcus arrived just after dark, tall and broad shouldered, his deep brown skin glowing under the warm lamps of Laura's living room. He greeted Jacki with an easy calm that melted her nerves at once. Jacki answered by setting down her glass, taking his hand, and placing it on her thigh.

Laura watched from the armchair as Marcus kissed her friend slowly, his dark hands sliding over pale shoulders as Jacki's dress fell to the floor. The contrast of their bodies was striking, and Jacki gasped at the strength in his arms as he lifted her onto the bed in the next room.
